1996 GMC Savanna 1500 Mark III

Hi,

Suffered road debris damage to a ac component that is part of the rear ac delivery.

Mounted to the carraige under the van just behind the driver's side door.

Seeking any help in determining the proper name of the component, location of a replacement, ballpark cost, degree of difficulty in replacing by an average person.

Also workarounds possible such as eliminating unit and rear ac until component is located by connecting supply and return together?

Please help.
